About Bizkeys

BIZKEYS (www.bizkeys.com) is a self help, easy to use resource, designed to help establishments within the hospitality industry achieve and maintain compliance with state and federal employment law.  The website incorporates a deliberate focus on laws enforced by the Wage and Hour Division of the US Department of Labor.  Approximately eighty two percent (82%) of hospitality industry violations are related to these laws.

It is through a combination of legal information (the laws and regulations) located in the REFERENCE section and process tools such as found in the HIRING CENTER, DESIGN SHOP and SELF AUDIT section that makes the BIZKEYS website dynamic and unique in its ability to help users, quickly and easily find the answers they need to solve day to day employment law issues.   An added bonus is the COMMUNITY Section which is an open discussion (chat) forum allowing users to ask questions to other users and to Morris Jennings (ASK MORRIS JENNINGS), a former Wage and Hour enforcement officer with the U.S. Department of Labor.

There is much more to the power and value of the website.  Staying up to date is a necessary element for users in their quest for compliance.  Laws and regulations are constantly changing, harmful legislation is often looming in congress as well as executive orders signed by the President, and of course there are local and state issues to be weary of.  Users are notified of these changes through the MYBIZKEYS page, emailed Alerts and our monthly newsletter, BizWatch.

The BIZKEYS website was carefully developed by a team of software engineers and designers using the latest enterprise-ready web technology, with input from Human Resource professionals, business owners, a prominent Labor Attorney, a former Wage and Hour enforcement officer and numerous business leaders.

It is made up of over 41,000 lines of code and includes such advanced capabilities as policy version control, multi-variant applicant filtering and search using natural language expression matching.  These great features make BizKeys easy to use with help tools and audio/video tutorials throughout.  Information is organized and bundled in the six major sections that provides for quick, easy to locate information related to a particular issue.

As needs change, the website will be updated to meet those changing needs.  Comments from users of the website list the two primary uses to be: (1) solving day to day employment problems and (2) training of supervisory and management employees.  In early 2016 BIZKEYS will roll out a new section to the website titled  TRAINING ROOM that will host a variety of live and recorded training modules, such as, The Fair Labor Standards Act, the basics of, All you need to know about tips, Overtime Pay,  and much more.
